Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

The foundation of our work is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). This form of therapy is empirically examined, evaluated and recognized in its effectiveness as a psychotherapeutic treatment method. The method is an effective approach for changing negative patterns of thought, feelings and ultimately actions.

The CBT assumes that our thinking has a decisive influence on our experiences and feelings. It states that how we feel and act is only determined by the evaluation of a particular situation. Through our sessions together we work toward finding new perspectives and understanding by questioning well-known structures.
